When I get the call
Most of my clients are well into the integration phase of their acquisition. When I get the call it is usually because:
- The project is several months behind and the initial critical deadline is fast approaching.
- The technical teams don’t understand the tools they are using or have chosen themselves to assist with the integration.
- They don’t know where to optimize their costs or efforts by overspending on things they don’t need, or underspendig on the things they do.
By then, it is usually too late, but I’ve been able to help them make forward progress.
When you should call
- When you hear “this is easy” from your technical leadership.
- When your team don’t bring any questions because they don’t know even know what to ask or who to talk to.
- When the deal closes and nobody knows what to do or where to start.
